AI Integration in Procurement
Set up AI at your desk: offer normalisation, a contract repository agent and order/delivery date tracking.
The closing module of the programme is not a lecture but a set-up day: participants install the AI assistant on their own computers and leave at the end of the day with an assistant that works on procurement tasks. No coding knowledge is required; the set-up is done once, and after that it is plain conversation.
What we will cover
- Set-up: Installing the AI assistant on your computer step by step, with no coding knowledge required
- First work with Excel: Scanning supplier records with a discovery → analysis → output prompt chain and turning them into a one-page report for management
- Having AI do the TCO: Having the offer normalisation done by hand in the negotiation module (freight, payment terms, MOQ, scrap) done in minutes, and questioning its assumptions
- Contract repository (RAG): Gathering all contracts, specifications, price lists and the procurement procedure in a single repository; the assistant answers only from this repository, quoting the clause
- Benchmark contracts: Comparing templates such as the ITC Model Contracts and Orgalim S2022 with your own contracts and identifying missing protective clauses
- AI contract analysis around the world: The four-layer capability set of global contract AI (CLM) tools, and obligation monitoring in order/delivery date tracking
- Quasi-no / flexible clause map: Classifying clauses as "non-negotiable / tradeable / missing" and building a position against price increase requests
Case study
Each participant works on their own computer. In a price increase case, the repository is asked: "The supplier has asked for a 22% increase — what does the price revision clause in the contract say?"; the assistant's answer, quoting the clause, is set side by side with the actual change in the index, and the first draft of the position against the increase request is ready for the table.
A single Tuesday-morning session, 4 hours, hands-on; all you need to bring is your laptop. This is the closing module of the series. One rule applies all day: you check the output — AI is the intern, the decision is yours.
